Hello ladies…..
This recipe is here for you.
Did you ever wonder about the mysteries of the moon? Did you ever wonder about the sway that the moon has over you?
Have you ever wondered how you ended up in the chocolate section of Bleuet without even realizing it was chocolate you were after?
It has happened before, and it will happen again. Is it the moon? Is it chocolate?
Well according to science, there is no real connection between the moon and how we feel.
What a total letdown.
So what can we do now that the moon isn’t to blame for all of those anxious and depressed feelings that come knocking on the door in what seems like a rhythmic and cyclical lunar connection?
Well, Chocolate actually!
Surprised? I’m here to tell you ladies that chocolate can be the answer to at least some of our problems. At least this chocolate can be.
This chocolate has some serious game changing ingredients. Ingredients specifically chosen by the moon goddesses to address the woes of womanhood. Each ingredient is chosen to nourish us throughout the calm or choppy days of the follicular and luteal cycle. Oh that never ending hormonal pull and tug more commonly referred to as pms and menstruation.
What better way to get through that cycle than to prepare ourselves with a little daily treat of chocolate heaven. Laden with beneficial herbs and oils this recipe is for all of the special ladies who want to treat themselves right while only having to remember one thing, chocolate can make it all better.
So what’s the deal ladies, Are you ready for the next phase? Let’s make this chocolate soar.
Ingredients :
- Chaste berry (12 capsules by botanica): Stimulate that pituitary gland to signal the ovaries to produce progesterone. Progesterone stops pain in its tracks.
- Udo’s Oil (4 tablespoons): Again with the pain. This oil contains Omega 369 and evening primrose oil which helps prostaglandins from causing breasts to be tender and abdominal cramping to be vicious. It’s also great for skin issues and moods. I used capsules (12 total) that I had emptied, however the liquid would be easier to use.
- Ashwaganda: Calm down already. Stress causes cortisol levels to increase, cortisol steals the progesterone you need to have a complete and even hormonal cycle leaving estrogen to be continually elevated leading to the most common symptoms of pms. Grumpy yet?
- Sesame seeds (1/2 cup whole seeds toasted): Omega 3 once again to the rescue. Vein health, brain health, eye health and joint health. Omega you glad we added sesame seeds to this recipe?
- Cacao Powder (1.5 cups): Antioxidant power plus taste equals theobroma heaven. Now with naturally occurring magnesium.
- Cacao Butter (1 cup): because you can’t have chocolate without the fat.
- Maple syrup (8 tablespoons): The tastiest liquid sweetener made right here. The moon loves earth, the earth loves Canada and Canadians love maple syrup eh.
- Real Salt 1 tsp: let’s call it what it is…. Important minerals :)
Instructions:
- Toast the sesame seeds until fragrant.
- In a food processor add the sesame seeds and grind until you have a fine meal. Add the Cacao powder, Ashwaganda and pulse again until fully incorporated.
- In a double boiler add the Cacao butter and Udo’s oil.
- Melt the oils until it is a clear yellow liquid with no cacao chunks. Be very careful not to heat the oil too much, now’s the time to be sensitive.
- In a small bowl add maple syrup. Carefully cut the tops off the chaste berry capsules and squeeze them into the maple syrup. Mix well.
- Add the maple syrup to the cacao oil, using a spatula gently stir.
- Now add the cacao powder and stir until the chocolate is smooth and starts to glisten.
- Pour your chocolates into a silicon mould.
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until a chocolate will easily pop out of its mould. Store in the fridge until you are ready to eat it.
What Joy, you are now ready to eat these. This recipe made 12 chocolates. Sweet relief!
